British Airways' London Eye is the highest observation wheel in the world and a 450 ft dramatic architectural undertaking. Sweeping the London skyline, it is the capital's fourth tallest structure. The unique structure gives passengers totally new perspectives of some of the Capital's most famous landmarks and provides a birds-eye view. 1700 tones of British steel has been used in its construction and the design is similar to a giant bicycle wheel with a central hub and spindles connected to outer and inner rims by fine cable spokes.
