BEAUNE, BURGUNDYY - 1 DAY 
 

ITINERARY : 
 Transfer from Hotel to “Gare de Lyon” train station by minibus.
A hostess hands over your travel tickets to board the TGV (departure at 7.34 a.m.) to Beaune.

Then, a local guide-interpreter meets you at “Gare de Beaune” and makes you discover of the historical city of Beaune during a walking tour.

Then onto the Patriarch wine cellars.

Today the cellars of the Ancient Convent through which you will walk in the course of your visit are linked together by underground passages with neighboring cellars, some of which are very old indeed (see for example the 14th century cellars of the Monks of Chartreux).

During your visit to the cellars, Patriarche Pere & Fils will be happy to offer for tasting and for sale, a unique range of the great wine from their reserve.

After lunch in the city center, visit the “Hospices de Beaune”, a former hospital founded in 1443 in order to help the sick and the poor. It has been transformed into a museum and is an exceptional example of medieval civilian architecture.

During the afternoon a driving tour of vineyards around Beaune. 322 of the 450 hectares of them are 1er crus. Pit stop at Vosne for a view of the “Romanée Conti” and “Clos Vougeot” vineyards.

Following the “Côtes de Nuits” you will reach Dijon where you will take place on board the TGV back to Paris at 6.20 p.m. Tour ends at Paris “Gare de Lyon” at 8.01 p.m.
