The lavish decoration at Versailles reflects the will of King Louis XIV known as the "Sun King" and the sheer extravaganza which eventually led to the French Revolution. There is however much more to Versailles than the palace itself and the famous André Le Nôtre gardens.
In a huge park
surrounding the Versailles site, there are two small castles named "Le Grand et Petit Trianons", former summer residences of the Kings who loved to rest here and forget about the etiquette of the court. Our guide will enthrall clients with tales of the French Kings and Queens and bring to life this legendary chapter of French history. |
